About the Center

The Santa Fe Center for Conscious Living arose from my experience operating a holistic Asian medical practice where I offered acupuncture, herbs and bodywork. This, as well as my personal practice in meditation, yoga and martial arts allowed me to realize the benefits of “conscious living” or mindfulness—awakening to how thoughts, choices and actions influence our day-to-day experience.  I decided to offer workshops, classes and retreats in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

The Mindfulness workshops offer a comprehensive investigation into the nature of stress and how it affects the Body-Mind. The Center also offers short courses in Interpersonal Mindfulness, which explores deeper investigation into the nature of our relationships using specific Mindfulness tools.

My newest offering at the Center is “Somatic Experiencing” (SE), a body-mind approach for working with Acute Traumatic Stress (ATS) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This particular work incorporates all of my previous training: acupuncture, mindfulness, and energetic touch into a therapeutic approach that clears traumatic material while building capacity and resiliency in the nervous system.
